A walk-in shower is the most demanding water-management assembly in your home. We design and install yours as a complete system — substrate, waterproofing, drainage, and tile specified together and warrantied as one.
What it is
A walk-in shower system, not a tile job.
Most Orlando homeowners think they are buying tile. What they are actually buying is an assembly: a sloped substrate, a continuous waterproof membrane, a properly seated drain, sealed transitions, and finally tile and grout.
When any one of those layers is wrong, the system fails — usually as a slow leak that nobody sees for three years. By the time it shows up at the ceiling below, the damage is structural.
A Luxive walk-in shower is engineered as a single assembly. We spec it together. We install it together. We warranty it together.
Why a system matters
Why systems outlive single-layer installs.
In Central Florida's humidity, water vapor never really stops moving. A shower has to handle bulk water, splash, vapor, and seasonal slab expansion all at once. The only thing that does that reliably is a designed assembly.
Continuous waterproofing
Schluter KERDI or Wedi sheet membranes seal walls, floor, and curb as one envelope — not strip-by-strip taping that leaks at every seam.
Engineered slope
1/4-inch-per-foot minimum slope to the drain, verified with a level — not eyeballed. Water leaves your shower instead of pooling.
Compatible setting materials
Mortars, grouts, and sealants are chosen to match the tile type and waterproofing system per the manufacturer spec sheet. Not "what was in the truck."

Common questions.
How long does a walk-in shower system take?
Most walk-in shower systems take 7 to 12 working days from demo to final clean. Larger or wet-room-style builds with linear drains, heated benches, or large-format slab can run 14 to 18 working days. We give a firm range in the proposal.
Why does Luxive cost more than the general contractor down the street?
You are not paying for tile labor — you are paying for a CTI #1566 certified install of a designed assembly. That includes manufacturer-specified waterproofing, engineered slope, proper setting materials, and a 5-year workmanship warranty. The math works out when you compare what a leak repair costs three years from now.
Can I choose my own tile, or do you supply everything?
Both work. We can supply tile through our distributor partners (with builder-tier pricing), or you can supply your own. If you bring your own, we still validate the tile, mortar, and waterproofing system are spec-compatible before we set anything.
Do you handle plumbing and glass enclosures?
We coordinate with your plumber and glass installer to align the rough-in and the enclosure scope. We do not perform licensed plumbing or shower-glass work ourselves — keeping each trade in its lane protects the warranty chain.
