Luxive Tile & Stone Design · Orlando
Large-format, slab, and natural stone — installed the way the manufacturer specified.
Luxury tile is unforgiving. Large-format porcelain, book-matched slab, and natural stone all amplify any mistake in the substrate or the setting material. We install to ANSI and TCNA performance standards, not to whatever held last time.
What it is
Luxury tile is not just expensive — it is dimensionally and mechanically demanding. A 24-by-48 porcelain panel needs a flatness tolerance of 1/8 inch in 10 feet. A book-matched marble slab needs a setting-bed strategy you choose before the tile arrives. A natural travertine floor needs a sealer plan, not just a grout color.
We bring the spec, the technique, and the certified labor to install premium tile in a way that performs and looks the way the material was meant to.
Why a system matters
Most luxury tile failures we tear out share the same root cause: the installer treated a $50/sf material like a $5/sf material. Wrong mortar. Wrong substrate flatness. Wrong sealer (or no sealer). The tile was perfect on day one. The system around it was not.
ANSI / TCNA standards
We install to the published industry performance standards — flatness, lippage, joint width, and movement-joint placement. Not 'close enough.'
Material-specific setting materials
Large-format porcelain, natural stone, glass mosaic, and slab each demand different mortars and sealers. We spec the right system per the tile manufacturer.
Substrate flatness
Floors and walls are flattened to spec before any premium tile sets. A 1/16-inch hump under a 4-foot panel becomes a visible lip — we level it out instead.

FAQ
Method, materials, and certification. Standard install gets the tile on the wall. Luxury install delivers a finished surface with no visible lippage, a movement-joint plan, the right mortar for the material, and a sealer regimen for natural stone. The tile is the same — the install is the difference.
Yes. We are equipped and trained for 24×48, 24×96, and slab-size panels. Large-format work requires substrate flattening, large-format trowels, back-buttering, and panel-lifting tools — we bring all of it.
Yes — marble, travertine, limestone, slate, and onyx. Natural stone needs a sealer plan from day one and a maintenance schedule. We deliver the install and walk through ongoing care in the handover.
Depends on the scope. A primary bath floor in large-format porcelain runs 5 to 7 working days. A full kitchen with slab backsplash plus floor and a custom natural-stone island wall can run 2 to 3 weeks. Every project gets a firm timeline in the proposal.
