Cost & Quotes

How much does a custom tile shower cost in Orlando?

A custom walk-in tile shower from Luxive Tile & Stone Designs in Orlando starts at $4,750 (Luxive Essential), $7,900+ (Luxive Elite), and $6,200 (Luxive Signature), with removal of the existing shower and site preparation included. The final price depends on the shower’s size, curbless entry, niches and benches, and your tile choice, and is set in a written proposal after a consultation.

How does quoting work?

Start by contacting us or booking a consultation. We walk your space, confirm the scope and your tile and layout choices, and send a written proposal with your price and a firm timeline range. You can see starting prices on our pricing page first, and the online calculator gives a measured estimate for tile floors and backsplashes.

Why does Luxive cost more than the general contractor down the street?

You are not paying for tile labor — you are paying for a CTI #1566 certified install of a designed assembly. That includes manufacturer-specified waterproofing, engineered slope, proper setting materials, and a 5-year workmanship warranty. The math works out when you compare what a leak repair costs three years from now.

Can I choose my own tile, or do you supply everything?

Both work. We can supply tile through our distributor partners (with builder-tier pricing), or you can supply your own. If you bring your own, we still validate the tile, mortar, and waterproofing system are spec-compatible before we set anything.

Curbless Showers

What is a curbless shower?

A curbless shower has no curb or step at the entry: the bathroom floor and the shower floor are one continuous plane. The shower floor is sloped to a drain — usually a linear drain — and the waterproofing runs past the shower zone, so water stays in the shower without a curb to hold it back.

Does a curbless shower require recessing the slab?

On a concrete slab, usually yes: we recess the shower subfloor 1.5–2 inches and rebuild the slope to the drain. On framed or second-story floors we build up the bathroom side instead of recessing the shower side. We confirm which approach fits your home before demo.

Are curbless showers ADA-friendly?

Yes — a curbless entry removes the step, which is the biggest barrier for a wheelchair, walker, or unsteady footing. Add a bench, grab-bar blocking, and a hand-shower wand and the shower becomes ADA-considerate for aging in place. If you need full ADA compliance, we plan clearances, controls, and fixture heights with you during design.

Timelines

How long does a walk-in shower system take?

Most walk-in shower systems take 7 to 12 working days from demo to final clean. Larger or wet-room-style builds with linear drains, heated benches, or large-format slab can run 14 to 18 working days. We give a firm range in the proposal.

Waterproofing

What waterproofing method does Luxive use?

Every Luxive shower uses a manufacturer-specified waterproofing system — Schluter KERDI, Wedi, or an equivalent — that seals the walls, floor, and curb as one continuous envelope, not strip-by-strip taping. It goes over a stable, moisture-tolerant substrate with a minimum 1/4-inch-per-foot slope to the drain, verified with a level before tile is set.

Financing

Does applying for financing affect my credit score?

No — the initial application is a soft pull, which does not impact your credit score. A hard pull only occurs if you accept an offered plan. The lender discloses the terms and the impact before you commit.

What project sizes qualify for financing?

Most Luxive scopes qualify — walk-in showers, wet rooms, heated systems, full primary-bath builds, and luxury tile projects. Very small add-on projects below our minimum financing threshold are typically more efficient to pay directly. We flag this during the proposal stage.

Is there a prepayment penalty?

Most of our partner plans have no prepayment penalty. You can pay off the balance early without additional fees. Specific terms are disclosed by the lender at approval — we encourage you to review the payoff clause before signing.

Who is the lender?

We work with established home-improvement financing partners that specialize in residential remodel projects. We share the lender details when we send your application link after the proposal — the partner is matched to the project scope.

Can I finance tile and labor together?

Yes. Our proposals are all-in — materials, waterproofing system, labor, and warranty — so the financed amount covers the full project scope as one line item.
